Well, after a fire, and several months with no apparent activity (during which I was afraid they were just going to shut it down), and then several more months of being swarmed by contractors, Lino's is back in business.
Some of the changes are apparent from the outside: stone facing on the outside walls, and a new and larger patio. Inside, the layout is pretty much the same as before, except there's more natural light, so I'm guessing that there are more (or larger) windows than there were before. I was also relieved to see that some (not all, alas) of the local sports memorabilia which used to hang on the walls has been saved. (Some of it, apparently, went up in the fire, and has been replaced with other items which don't quite have the same local flavour.) The Crystal Beach memorabilia seems to be all gone, which is a shame.
There service is still friendly, and the food is still just okay. (Not bad, by any means, but not great, either.) -

The WORST wings I have ever had.
My friend and I traveled to Crystal Beach for the first time this 4th of July with another friend of ours who has family in town. Our friend told us about Lino's and their "great" 80 cent wing deal. We arrived and ordered. 10 honey garlic, 10 cajun, and 12 hot. The waitress asked us if we wanted carrots, celery, and blue cheese, we of course said yes. After a normal wait time, the wings arrived. I kid you not when I say these were a third of the size of normal wings. Barely enough meat on each wing for one mouthful. The honey garlic were good. The cajun were also good, but under seasoned. The hot wings were so mild we assumed they gave us the wrong sauce. Apparently not. The vegetables were crisp and delicious, some of the best I've had at a restaurant. Once we received the check, we were dumbfounded. They charged $3.50 for the blue cheese and veggies! Have you ever heard of a restaurant charging ANYTHING for those with wings, let alone 3.50?? I have not. In total, I payed $13.50 for 10 pigeon wings, veggies, blue cheese, and water. Not much of a deal. My friend who has been to Lino's before was disappointed as well, and said he's not sure if he'll ever return. I don't blame him. -

An OK place for basic fast food, pizza and beer...kind of a local place...not much to see inside, no atmosphere really...several tables/chairs and a U shaped bar where most of the locals sat and chatted.

Look I've been around the world, and as a native New Yorker, I've never had better pizza outside the State of NY. I truly mean this, I just had the best pizza of my life at Linos in Crystal Beach. Ricotta Spinach pizza to be exact. The crust was perfect. The cheese was perfect. Service was great and price was great! Oh yeah, incredible poutine as well. Incredible pizza Linos the bar has been set to a new height. Wish I could put an award on yer door, but here's my yelp reward instead! Will be back during my visit to the area. Aloha!
